Dinner With APC Support Groups, Friday, December 19, 2025, At NAF Conference Center, Abuja

Distinguished leaders of our great party, respected members of APC support groups, party faithful, ladies and gentlemen, I am deeply honoured to share this evening with you.

I thank you sincerely for your steadfast support, loyalty, and belief in the vision of the All Progressives Congress.

Your presence here today is a powerful affirmation of our shared commitment to progressive leadership and the continued advancement of our nation.

The APC remains a party founded on courage, reform, and a clear sense of purpose. We came into government at a most trying moment for our country; a situation that called for confronting long-standing challenges with bold and sometimes difficult decisions, and always in the best interest of Nigeria and future generations.

Under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, this administration has taken decisive steps to stabilise the economy, restore fiscal discipline, and reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth.

From far-reaching economic reforms to renewed efforts at strengthening national security and infrastructure development, the Tinubu administration is laying solid foundations for long-term prosperity.

We are already witnessing positive indicators—improved investor confidence, increased oil production, enhanced revenue generation, and strategic interventions to support states, businesses, and vulnerable Nigerians.

These achievements underscore the President’s resolve to rebuild trust in governance and place Nigeria firmly on the path of progress.

I am particularly proud of the renewed emphasis on transparent communication, national values, and citizen engagement. This government understands that reforms must be accompanied by honest dialogue, public enlightenment, and a shared sense of national purpose.

Earlier today, President Tinubu presented the 2026 budget estimates of N58.18 trillion before the National Assembly, with four key sectors, Defence and Security, Infrastructure, Education, and Health, taking the lion share.

According to the President, these four priorities are interlinked, and in his words, “Without security, investment will not thrive. Without educated and healthy citizens, productivity will not rise. Without infrastructure, jobs and enterprises will not scale. This Budget is, therefore, designed to provide a single, coherent programme of national renewal.”

As we can see, national security is in the forefront of our nationhood, and in 2026, the Tinubu administration has made clear that the modernization of our armed forces will be prioritised, concurrently with the enhancing of intelligence-driven policing and joint operations, border security and technology-enabled surveillance; and community based peacebuilding and conflict prevention.

Distinguished guests, our support groups remain the backbone of our political movement. You are not only mobilisers during elections; you are defenders of truth, champions of our achievements, and partners in correcting misinformation.

At a time when reforms can be misunderstood or deliberately misrepresented, your role in explaining the gains of this administration to Nigerians is more critical than ever.

We must therefore support the guiding principles of the 2026 budget, tagged the “Budget of Consolidation, Renewed Resilience and Shared Prosperity.”

As the Minister of Information and National Orientation, I recognise the critical role you play as ambassadors of our party—mobilising, informing, and strengthening public confidence in our policies and programmes.

Your support amplifies our message and reinforces national unity. This dinner is therefore both a celebration and a call to duty. A call to close ranks, strengthen our structures, and deepen our engagement with communities across the country. Together, we must continue to project the APC as a party of solutions, courage, and people-oriented leadership.

Let me assure you that your sacrifices, loyalty, and contributions are recognised and appreciated. As a government and as a party, we remain committed to rewarding hard work, promoting inclusion, and ensuring that no stakeholder is left behind in our collective journey.

Once again, I thank you for your unwavering support and belief in the Renewed Hope Agenda. Let us remain focused, united, and resolute as we work with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to build a stronger, more prosperous, and more secure Nigeria.

Thank you, and I wish you all a pleasant evening.

God bless the All Progressives Congress.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
